Stephanie Vigoya, LMHC - Licensed Mental Health Counselor Williamsburg NY

Stephanie Vigoya, LMHC

Stephanie fosters a supportive space for couples seeking to resolve emotional roadblocks and strengthen their relationships. She has extensive post-graduate experience and

training working with couples who often report hurt and misunderstandings related to past betrayals and infidelity. She strives to collaborate with both partners to develop a roadmap that will rebuild and strengthen their trust and connection. Stephanie believes therapy can enhance the couple’s ability to work as a team and learn new skills that promote understanding and closeness in their everyday lives.

Additionally, Stephanie’s compassionate approach supports individuals dealing with heightened stress, anxiety, and/or hopelessness in their lives. She uses evidence-based practices to help clients develop a deeper understanding and meaning around their experiences. As a result, individuals learn to challenge their limiting beliefs to manifest the changes they envision.

Stephanie is a licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her graduate degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She pursued a two-year post-graduate certification from the Ackerman Institute for the Family and trained in MAP/ CBT evidence-based treatment by the New York University Child Study Center. Most recently, Stephanie completed an Emotional Focus Therapy Externship to assist couples in understanding their patterns during conflict and engage in conversations that promote bonding.

Stephanie is a bilingual therapist who can provide therapy in both English and Spanish. She is accepting new clients for online, video-based psychotherapy.
